SteelEye Wins Best RegTech Solution at HFM US Technology Awards

The recognition is a testament to the strength of the SteelEye platform and comes shortly after the firm expanded into North America.

With Intelligence’s HFM US Technology Awards celebrate technology firms that have demonstrated exceptional client service, innovation, and strong and sustainable business growth in the US market over the past 12 months.

While SteelEye’s history in the US is brief, the company has witnessed rapid growth since the launch of its New York office in October 2021.

To support this growth and the increased market demand for flexible and cloud-based RegTech solutions in the US, SteelEye doubled its global team in 2021. The company also expanded its development office in India and opened a new data engineering hub in Portugal – in addition to establishing an office in New York. Consequently, SteelEye nearly doubled its client base – achieving 88% year-on-year growth.

"We are delighted to be recognized as a market leader in the US so soon after our expansion into the region, said Matt Smith, CEO of SteelEye."SteelEye is at the forefront of solving complex compliance challenges and our multi-jurisdictional approach has enabled us to add value for North American firms quickly."

Brian Lynch, President of SteelEye Americas, saidWhile requirements in the US aren’t as prescriptive as those in Europe, regulators including SEC and FINRA are increasing their enforcement action of firms with ineffective compliance processes and procedures. SteelEye offers an ideal solution for US firms requiring effective tools for supervisory oversight, record keeping, and data intelligence - and we are delighted to have received an award supporting this.

SteelEye’s comprehensive RegTech suite for the US covers trade surveillancecommunications capture and surveillance, best execution and transaction cost analysis, record keeping, eDiscovery, trade reconstruction, and analytics.

The company is constantly working to improve its platform. Most recently, SteelEye has reinforced its commitment to ensuring institutional-grade data security by achieving System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 compliance. The external accreditation demonstrates SteelEye’s ongoing commitment to best-in-class data security – a move it believes will strengthen its growth prospects in North America.
