The Pre-Sales Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving successful customer engagements throughout the sales cycle. Partnering closely with the Sales team, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to both prospects and internal stakeholders, bridging the gap between client needs and technical solutions. Your responsibilities will include understanding complex business requirements, delivering impactful product demonstrations, managing RFPs/RFIs, and supporting Proofs of Concept (POCs).  

Primary Responsibilities Include: 

  • Pre-Sales Engagement: Lead in-depth product demonstrations, technical deep dives, and POCs, showcasing the value of SteelEye’s offerings.  
  • Client Discovery: Work directly with prospects to gather detailed business and technical requirements, identifying key workflows and aligning solutions to strategic objectives. 
  • Sales Collaboration: Partner with the Sales team to qualify opportunities, assess client suitability, and provide strategic input throughout the sales cycle.
  • Onboarding Support: Facilitate a seamless transition from pre-sales to onboarding, managing client expectations around processes, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Project Managers and Product teams to translate client requirements into actionable implementation plans.
  • Content Management: Work with Marketing to maintain and update pre-sales collateral to reflect current product capabilities and value propositions.
  • RFP/RFI Support: Contribute to the completion of RFIs/RFPs with accurate, compelling responses that showcase SteelEye’s strengths.
  • Trusted Advisor: Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a strategic consultant to support long-term business growth.
  • Feedback Loop: Provide insights from client interactions to influence product development, marketing strategies, and process improvements.

Key skills and experience:

  • Ability to calibrate Market Abuse rules, analyse surveillance results, and communicate findings effectively to clients.
  • Experience in technical onboarding, business analysis, or technical project management.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, particularly those of the SEC, CFTC, FINRA, and NFA. Solid understanding of financial services operations, including trading data, instruments, and the full trade lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with communication surveillance tools and workflows. 
  • Familiarity with trade surveillance tools and workflows.
  • Familiarity with Best Execution. Proven ability to create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
  • Experience working with compliance teams, with a strong grasp of the challenges they face in communications and trade surveillance.
  • Comfortable engaging with a variety of client stakeholders, from C-suite executives to compliance end-users and technical teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships across business and technical audiences.
  • A consultative mindset with a passion for solving complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical details into business value.
  • A collaborative approach, thriving in cross-functional environments.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
